The school runs in four blocks a year.


Winter   - January - Easter.

Spring    - Easter - End of June.

Summer - July and August.

Autumn  - September to Christmas.

Tai Chi Basics Course

Start with a foundation course , here you can learn the basics of tai chi principles, chi kung exercise and the short form of Chen style Tai Chi. The perfect start to the evening or day. Basic Tai Chi forms in easy to follow weekly classes.

Generally you can start that week or soon after. Failing that you can still join but the teaching has moved along so you might want to wait until later or just get stuck in. Everyone is a bit different.

If you would like to join our classes please email me and I will send joining details.


W/C 6th September the school will return to physical classes with live streaming of some of the classes on zoom. There will be a limited number of people who can attend each class. Social distancing rules will be in place and one-way flows in and out of the buildings etc. Normally classes would be 2 meters apart as we need space to do form etc.


Booking will be essential.

All classes 1.5 hours for experienced people and 1 hour for beginners.


Payment via bank transfer. Cost £120 for experienced and £100 for beginner. This is for 10 weeks.

Here is the list of events in august:


1. One off Ashton Court on Wednesday evening on the  4 August from 6:30 – 8. £15

2. Sunday Tai Chi on the 15 August in the Forest of Dean. £60.


3. On going regular Tai Chi in the Park sessions. £15 per week.

 - Thornbury weekly on Mondays in the park at 6:30pm. Follow the signs to the Mundy Playing Field, head to the car park. Then go on into the park to meet up.

- Yate on Wednesdays at 10:30am. Lye Field Park Yate.

- Thursdays in St George Park at 7pm. Meet on the other side of the gate onto the park from the St George community centre.


Terms and conditions.

Cancellations made 28 days or more before the start of a course or workshop will be refunded less a 15% admin fee.

Cancellations made less then 28 days before course or workshop start date will not be refunded unless your place can be filled from a waiting list, in which case you will be refunded less the 15% admin the fee.

If we have to cancel a course or workshop you will be offered either a cash refund or the option of being transferred to an alternative course.

All courses run in consecutive weeks - we cannot replace a missed week or transfer them to future courses.

Once you have committed to a course or workshop, we recommend that you attend the scheduled number of sessions to get the most out of the program.

Course tutors may be substituted due to illness and holidays etc.

If we booking accommodation for you there is no refund for this unless someone can be found to take the room.


Course fee cancellations made 6 weeks or more before the start of a course or workshop will be refunded less 50%.

Cancellations made less then 6 weeks before course or workshop start date will not be refunded unless your place can be filled from a waiting list, in which case you will be refunded less 50% cancellation fee.

If we have to cancel a course or workshop you will be offered either a cash refund or the option of being transferred to an alternative course.
